Need a Trillian Account

I don’t like the idea of needing a Trillian account for connecting to a XXPM internal server. So I did not even finished the setup

Não muito bom

Não consegui fazer o MSN funcionar... -- Not that good. I could not make the MSN work.

Last updated ruined it

It was already odd to have the obligation of creating an "astra" account to use the application, but it was possible to live with that. It was also possible to live with the lack of customization (and the position of the tabs) and no search option for the message history, but the last updated ruined it to the point I am going back to AdiumX right now. Cant use any special character, not even the quotes (") signal.

Good app, but could be great

Despite having a few rough edges, its the best multi-platform, multi-protocol im client. If development of the mac version catch-up to the current windows beta, there would be no reason not to use it over live or gtalks default clients (and likely facebooks if they ever develop a standalone im app)

Fantastic

After going through several other applications I found one that would include the function of each and consumes little memory. If you are dissatisfied with your current set of software and would like to add more features to its instant messenger thats the software. Twitter + Facebook + + MobileMe Google Talk and others!

Still missing some features

Grea looking app. Works faster than Adium (which I was using before). There isnt long delays when using at the same time with GMail or Facebook opened. But Im still looking for a good and free option that support video or, at least, audio calling. With that, Trillian would be very good!

Loved it but...

I loved but once you starts a conversation you have to close it to see the friends online and etc, and their pictures doesnt appears when you`re talking and even in the online people page.

Maybe the best chat client for the Mac

Ive tried Nimbuzz, iChat and Adium, but Trillian seems to be the best choice.

Worst application I have ever used in my life of decades

I have no idea how or why this application is top rated. It simply does not work. It keeps asking me to allow permission to connect to Facebook even though the data was entered several times. Cannot connect to my twitter account. User interface: awful, complicated. When attempting to delete my account from the Trillian site, they ask for a code number, so you have to ask them for the code, log into mail, copy the code, enter back to the log in menu, etc.

Still no working proxy suppport

... leaves no choice other then a 1-star rating. Not that i didnt report it since build 106.

missing some features

As usual in my reviews, lets start at the 5 stars I would give for what is being advertised. • The app description says “use Trillian to connect to Facebook […]”. This is hardly possible. No notifications are displayed, and it is impossible to access Facebook messages. Current rating: 4 stars. • The same can be said about Twitter: Trillian makes new Tweets indistinguishable from those I have already read, and doesnt even change the menu bar icon when there are unread tweets. The only way the app notifies me is through Growl. Current rating: 3 stars. • The app is advertised as “a free messenger”, and while it is indeed free to download the app from the App Store, some features, such as chatlog backups in the cloud and syncing them to an iPhone, do not work correctly without a subscription to a paid service. Current rating: 2 stars. • The app is advertised as “Trillian for Mac”. To me, this implies a feature set comparable to Trillian for other platforms, such as Windows. However, the app lacks some of the key features of Trillian for Windows, such as support for Skype and IRC. Final rating: 1 star.

Usable

Trillian interface is really not the best designed interface. It does not remember the status which was set last. So in order to set my status to always invisible even when I restart the app, I had to go to switch user and then choose profile and then select Invisible. Not the most intuitive way. However, its the only app available for Mac which supports Google Talk Invisible status. Its usable but the UI needs to be revamped.

Good IM Client but ...

… still no skype integration under mac os.

Needs an update desperately...

I use Trillian for ages now and got myself a lifetime premium account since I really like some pro features like the cloud based sync of conversations between for example the the Mac and iPhone version. At least this normally works but otherwise Trillian on Mac is really a pain to use, you can’t even sendimages embedded in the message, when you try to send a picture it always establishes a file transfer which the receiver has to accept.

Tech Demo

I bought Trillian Pro to share one messaging client between all those OS’s. While the Windows version works perfectly fine, the Mac does not. I cant say a lot, it is basically just buggy and you guys have to do something about it.

Great!

Love it! Like it more than Adium, which I found kind of unpolished and hard to navigate. Only thing Id like to see is a "private messages" addition to the Facebook window :)

Very nice

Very nice clean Mac App. Id like to see the Facebook integration be cleaned up a bit and add a few more features. Has a really really nice Facebook Chat service :)

Useful app

Great app. Really makes things easy. Only one problem... Ive tried quitting the app twice since Ive downloaded it and both times it has crashed on me. Is this something you guys are working on?

Great for Facebook

This is a really good app to keep all of your stuff in one spot! one small suggestion, maybe if you could have the top menu bar open at all times, even if the application isnt open? if you could that would be great Keep it up guys! Ayden McPhail
