Update=== This version now crashes every several minutes on Mavericks. Completely unusable. ======== If you pay for Trillian Pro (subscription), you get multi-device message and contact sync, as well as an “always on” server which caches messages and delivers them to every device. This feature is wonderful and almost worth it. That said, I will not be renewing my subscription. The app suffers from unresponsive developers (There are multiple, years old threads on their forum about various things) and completely lacking OTR support. The iOS app also recently went through an interface overhaul which (in my opinion) was a disaster. I think there’s real potential in this app, and would even be OK renewing the premium subscription if the developers would be responsive to paying customers. For the time being I will switch back to Adium and just deal with syncing messages and accounts manually.

This app crashes after the latest OS update on my MacBook Pro, I have no issues with this on my iPhone, but the app on my Mac crashes continiously. I was trying to show it’s bennifits to a client, and the thing kept on crashing, it made me look like a fool… needless to say no contract for me. I hope this is resolved ASAP because I have been a Trillian follower for quite some time, and I honestly don’t want to go to another 3rd party system just for my Mac.

Crashed 20 times in a row when i tried to add/delete chat accounts.

Title says it all.

Even for free this is garbage. If I have to mess with it then it’s not worth free.

Let alone had an OFFICIAL APP STORE update!! Guess you want as much working DAY 1 with Yosemite. now Ill stop using the BETA (oustide the apple sandbox world version) from Cerulian.

for so many years it has had the exact same issue. Maybe it is because of my old macbook white or my iOS 8.2 iPhone 4s. I can not connect to facebook or any chat social network, google talk, etc. I give up.

The app is rather buggy. Unlike the other reviewers, I was able to connect to GChat, although I was not able to connect to Facebook. I feel like the interface could be a lot more slick, although it does look great.

The new layout is slick, and the web interface has been bumped up a notch too. This app does exactly what you’d expect of a messenger app, plus a few other things. Currently connected to: •Facebook •Twitter •Gchat •AIM All of those accounts work as they’re supposed to, plus I like receiving the FB and Twitter notifications instead of having to actually go to the web sites. I paid for a lifetime membership a while back. It’s nice to have a permanent record of all my chats. In comparison, Apple’s Messages couldn’t even connect to AIM and Gchat at the same time, it was one or the other.

I’ve always loved trillian but I wish it supported group chats on facebook. Until it does that this is no longer the app for me

but the OS X version is very buggy and hangs quite often. I’ve been using Trillian for years on Windows, but I’ve resently switched to OS X and was hoping Trillian for Mac was just as good. It isn’t at all. :(

This is one of the worst programs I have seen. I paid for the upgrade and absolutely NOTHING was changed. I paid and got nothing. Their support was no better than this program.

I use this for work now you require us to input our personal IM and facebook and crap. Adium for me from now on.

You will get daily notifications to use Trilian for business. It’s obnoxious and will fill up your notification center with crap. Also, I began to get a lot of junk mail within 24 hours of starting my required Trillian account. i know it is because of Trillian due to the gmail alias I used to sign up. Caught red handed. And, the app will not stay assigned to a workspace, somehow overriding Mac functionality to screw with your workspaces.

- The function is fine.. It does what an IM chat client should do. - However it stalls, crashes, and requires I kill it manually. - It’s inevitable if messages.app fires up at the same time. - Handle it guys.. Probably exception thrown when the port is in use.. Easy fix handle that….. Otherwise it’s fine.

Everything was working fine until about a week ago, now my Trillian is crashing constantly!

Just installed the update a couple days ago and now I cannot get it to open. It was fine up until then, but the update renders it useless.

Downloaded update, cannot connect to FB or Google Talk anymore.

I used Trillian on a PC for years with no issues. But I recently got a Mac and was excited that Trillian was available in the App Store. Unfortunately, it just won’t connect to Google Chat for me now. I’ve tried to uninstall and reinstall with no luck. Bummer.

used trillian for YEARS with no issue, now all the sudden it wont connect to gmail AND their is no update or fix in site. Very dissapointed where trillian is going and their LACK or urgency.
